I am Joyous, I am Passionate, I am a Storyteller, I am an Artist, I am a Portraitist,
I am a Memory Maker...
Today, through my photography I connect with all different people to capture family celebrations, portraits and provide lasting memories of other people's histories that they hold dearly.
I began photographing when I was 6 years old with a kodak 110 camera. My grandfather was an avid photographer who had a darkroom and I loved to watch an image develop. Growing up in NYC I attended LaGuardia High School, "The Fame School" and that's where I learned how to take, develop and print black and white film.
I went to study art and photography at Washington University in St. Louis where I spent countless happy hours late into the night singing and dancing around in the darkroom while printing and developing images. Before I graduated I was already photographing Bar/Bat Mitzvahs.
After college I returned home to NYC and got a job as a photographer for the New York Post newspaper. Working at a newspaper was the biggest on the job training experience readying me to photograph anything!
